She called us Joe six pack. Why such a derogatory demographic?

Could I be involved in politics? I bet I could, why shouldn’t I, I have a lot of opinions, and I’m not shy about them being pointed out as misguided or wrong. I am free to make mistakes. I am not afraid of my mistakes hurting anyone, because all of my intentions are progressive. In fact I celebrate my mistakes, they have been some of my best opportunities not only to learn about my self and the world around me but to actually do good, progressive and responsible things.

I celebrate Sara Palin showing America that anyone can benefit American Politics. S.P. generalized the men of our country as “Joe Six Pack”, this was a huge mistake. And just like I suggested there are positive things to see in everyones mistakes – Palin helped McCain Lose. And. By calling out to the men of this country in a derogatory fashion – perhaps we will find the self respect to live up to higher common standard bound by something other than beer. What profound results from a relative nobody in the political world! Sara has shown me the light – even loosing can be winning! You Go get em pit-bull!!!

Sarah -

Why such a derogatory demographic my dear? Joe Six Pack. You didn’t mean six pack abs did you? That would be a way tiny demographic, you must not have meant that. What were you thinking? Did you want to demoralize men? Did you want to bring beer and boozing into the debates? Do you drink beer? I bet you don’t. I don’t either. It’s a pretty bad habit. I would shotgun a beer with you though if I heard you might want to find a couple of joe six packs with me and talk some politics – I’m thinking of doing something in the political realm my self – but I’m not sure what my most important points are yet, so I’m gonna take it kind of easy and just talk to the people in my community and my friends for a while – see if others think like me, or know about the things I think are important to living responsibly in the modern world. I also plan to stay out of the spotlight for a while so I can enter into the public field of vision at the right time – you know I don’t want to be on tv with like any old Joe the plumber or Bob or Tito the builder or any tiny pretty snow angel with confusingly founded motivations for that matter. I personally would like to make political change in a world with out a supporting cast of characters taking the attention away from the ideas I find important and meaningful. Nice job practicing the part Sara – you looked great in all those magazine spreads and interviews in all those nice pants suits and pretty shoes and scarfs. Speeches weren’t too bad either if you weren’t really thinking about what you were saying, did all that come off the top of your head? Watching the speeches without the sound was my favorite, because then I could imagine substance each time you paused and winked or smiled. Isn’t that how you watch Tina Fey? Wow we have something in common!!

Bye Sara
